The Best Kind of Reading is …Pleasure Reading!

The end of the school year is approaching and we couldn’t but come up with an extremely fun, relaxing, and productive way to say goodbye! Our school’s garden is always a good idea to enjoy the springtime’s refreshing vibes and so we left our classroom to embark on this beautiful reading journey which took approximately 1 hour.

The Aims and the Gains!

The aim of the Readathon event was for our students to read for pleasure, in a relaxing mode, and of course ….in silence! And as Jeanne Henry put it…

The most beautiful silence on earth is that of students engrossed in their reading!

As for the gains, the fact that students were encouraged to read for pleasure is fulfilling in itself! Establishing a positive attitude towards reading is immensely rewarding and it should always be our priority!

The Extensive Reading Approach

READATHON is an extensive reading activity which draws on the Extensive Reading Approach. This approach is based on the consensus among researchers that we acquire language when we are exposed to lots of comprehensible input in the form of reading and when we feel relaxed and motivated.

We are excited to tell you that…

The readathon inspired us to incorporate an Extensive Reading Program into our curriculum for the next school year! Besides, every student deserves some time of enjoyable reading in a safe, caring and quiet environment and of course without the fear of being tested or somehow evaluated on it!

Today we are celebrating Reading!

Τη φετινή σχολική χρονιά αποφασίσαμε να οργανώσουμε δύο αποχαιρετιστήρια summer party με πρώτο αυτό των junior τάξεων και Α & B senior!

Εάν δεν καταφέρατε να παρευρεθείτε στη γιορτή, μπορείτε να πάρετε μια γεύση απο εδώ, ενώ αν μας τιμήσατε με την παρουσία σας, ελπίζουμε να περάσατε όμορφα και με τις παρακάτω εικόνες να βρήκατε μια όμορφη ανάμνηση!

Η Α junior μας τραγούδησε για τα projects της με θέμα το Περιβάλλον!

Τη φετινή χρονιά θα πραγματοποιηθούν ΔΥΟ αποχαιρετιστήρια πάρτυ στον κήπο του φροντιστηρίου, το πρώτο για τις μικρότερες τάξεις και το δεύτερο για τις μεγαλύτερες.

Τη Δευτέρα 20 Μαΐου 2019 και ώρα 7.00-9.00 μμ , οι μικροί μαθητές των junior τάξεων και των τάξεων A Senior και Β Senior θα λάβουν μέρος στα δρώμενα που έχουν ετοιμάσει, ενώ οι γονείς θα μπορούν ν’ απολαύσουν τον καφέ ή το αναψυκτικό τους.

Θα χαρούμε να σας δούμε από κοντά.

Την Τετάρτη 22 Μαΐου 2019 και ώρα 7.00-9.00μμ. Οι μαθητές μας έχουν ετοιμάσει ένα θεατρικό και κάποιοι άλλοι θα μας τραγουδήσουν με live μουσική από τον Θανάση Χατζηγιάννη κάποιες μπαλάντες. Γονείς και μαθητές μπορούν στο τέλος να απολαύσουν το αναψυκτικό τους και την πίτσα τους.

]]> During the school’s day-trip to ACT, (American College of Thessaloniki), our students got a taste of university life! More specifically, they took a tour around the campus and the impeccable facilities of the institution where they observed and explored the labs, libraries, classrooms, residence halls, athletic fields and more. Next, they had the chance to meet some of the college professors and attend an educational workshop followed by a general discussion and exchange of information regarding the college programs.

Thanks to the coordinators’ guidance and tour, our students managed to learn more about the history of the college and its current study programs, services and scholarships.

Our Annual Christmas Fair and Meeting

Christmas Event 2018: Για άλλη μια χρονιά, η καθιερωμένη χριστουγεννιάτικη συνάντηση για την πρόοδο των μαθητών και μαθητριών μας, έλαβε χώρα στο χώρο του σχολείου μας και τα είχε όλα!!

To Χριστουγεννιάτικο Bazaar

Έχουν αποτελέσει παράδοση πια οι χειροποίητες δημιουργίες της αγαπημένης μας Μαριαλένας Κυρίτση που ομορφαίνουν πάντα το χώρο του σχολείου μας. Στο φετινό christmas event (2018) οι κατασκευές της Μαριαλένας στόλισαν την πρώτη αίθουσα του φροντιστηρίου και έκλεψαν τις εντυπώσεις!

Τα DIY Χριστουγεννιάτικα στολιδάκια μας

Το πνεύμα των Χριστουγέννων ήρθε νωρίς και μας χάρισε έμπνευση για δημιουργία! Tι πιο γιορτινό και επίκαιρο λοιπόν… από τα χειροποίητα δεντροστολιδάκια μας!!! Περισσότερα απο 100 στον αριθμό -παρακαλώ- φτιάχτηκαν με τη συμβολή των μαθητών/τριών του φροντιστηρίου και με πολλή αγάπη απο εμάς… για εσάς!

Πιστοί στο ραντεβού σας, δεν θα μπορούσαμε παρά να σας ευχαριστήσουμε για τη σημαντική παρουσία σας χάρη στην οποία είχαμε την ευκαιρία να συζητήσουμε και να ανταλλάξουμε απόψεις σχετικά με την πρόοδο των παιδιών.

Η συχνή επικοινωνία με τις δασκάλες του σχολείου μας είναι υψίστης σημασίας και αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας. Για το λόγο αυτό, χαιρόμαστε να σας βλέπουμε και να σας ακούμε σε κάθε σχολικό event αλλά και καθ’όλη τη διάρκεια του έτους!
